Almond Butter Date Shake

5 from 1 vote
This is one of my favorites. I used to love ice cream so switching to the plant-based diet required me to get creative. Fortunately, there are some great companies that offer products that are delicious and healthier alternatives.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup   almond milk
  • 1 cup  Tempt (hemp ice cream, Vanilla Bean)
  • 5  pitted dates
  • 1  frozen banana
  • 10-15 ice cubes
  • Splash of vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
  • Dash of Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender except the cinnamon.
  • Blend until creamy and smooth.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.

    Hi Phoebe,
I like the most is to see your the enthusiasm while demonstrating your recipes.

Visited this site, first time, most the ingredients used are not available in India.
Are there an alternatives to it. Which online site can it be purchased ?
Please let me know the brand of your blender, without which all blending would be a task.
    Thanks,
    Domenica

    • Hi Domenica, Thanks and welcome! I love to help people eat plant-based. I understand completely about not all ingredients being available where you live. I would suggest buying from your local or online stores and substituting ingredients when necessary. I did see in the Times of India that there are versions of almond butter available in India so they would work well for this Almond Butter Shake. You can make it with other nuts too. As for the blender, I no longer have that one. I use and love my VitaMix. Let me know if you need other ideas for substitute ingredients and I’ll try to help. Namaste
