Here’s an unbeatable beet juice that is sweet and tasty. When you’re feeling your energy take a dive in the late afternoon, try this. You can juice it earlier in the day and keep it in a thermos or in the refrigerator. Having it on hand will ensure that you’re more likely to stick with The Plant-Based Diet and not go for a processed sugar high. Beets help to cleanse your body and liver. Nitrates are found in beet juice and help athletes’ performance. It helps with inflammation and is great for hydration and adding electrolytes.

Ingredients

  • Kale
  • Spinach
  • Yellow bell pepper
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1 apple
  • 1/4 inch of ginger
  • 2 small organic beets (smaller beets tend to be sweeter than the larger ones, you can use the green stems they offer a lot of nutritional value)
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • A sprig of Basil (optional)

Instructions 

  • Making sure all of the ingredients have been washed and cleaned on the outside, place them in an electric juicer.
  • Top with a basil leaf and serve.
