A delicious and nutritious tofu that combines sweet and savory flavors. Perfect for those special dinners or as an alternative to a honey baked ham often served at holiday meals.

Tofu Glaze

  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vegan Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 4 Garlic Cloves (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice


Making the Tofu

  • Press Tofu for 30 minutes or more
  • Pat dry and diamond score your tofu
  • In a reusable bag, marinate the tofu in the soy sauce for an hour or overnight in the refrigerator.

Ready to Cook the Tofu

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • After marinating, poke cloves into the center of the diamonds
  • In a small baking dish, line with parchment paper.
  • Place tofu in it and bake for about 50-60 minutes. Tofu will turn golden brown.

For the Sauce

  • Over medium heat in a saucepan, add all the sauce ingredients except the lemon juice. Whisk it frequently for a couple of minutes.
  • Reduce heat and add lemon juice. Whisk for 3o seconds.
  • Turn off the heat and set aside.

Serving the Tofu and Sauce

  • When the tofu is a dark golden brown, remove it from the oven. Let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the parchment paper and the cloves.
    Then drizzle the sauce over the tofu. Serve with vegetables of your choice.
