I gotta tell you this was not fun for me. That day I decided to eat mostly plant-based foods, I thought my meals would be like sending me out to graze in the pasture–boring and tasteless! Then again, with the busy life I lead, maybe chowing down on some grass in an empty field for a few hours isn’t such a bad idea after all.

I didn’t know a thing about eating mostly plant-based foods…and I’m still learning. This is my journey and I’m sharing it with you. Why? Because I needed help and found that some people were just too extreme or “hippie-ish” for me. Not that there’s anything wrong with extremist or hippies–it’s just that I don’t exactly fit into those categories–I’m a mix between the two. So, I’m not saying I won’t one day be completely eating only plant-based foods…let’s just say, again, it’s a journey.
How I crossed the line and got consumed by this stuff. When my dad died of prostate cancer nearly a decade ago, it provoked me to research diets and the correlation to good health–even though I was repeatedly told by doctors that “What you eat doesn’t matter”! Are you kidding me?! You put a pill in your mouth and yet if you eat food through that very same mouth and digestive system, there’s no effect. WRONG!
Don’t kid yourself–what you eat does matter. Just like exercise–it matters too. And so does what you put in your head–good thoughts? bad thoughts?
