Why The Plant-Based Diet?

Why Eat Plant-Based?

Here’s where I want to be really clear…what I’m asking you to do is eat “plant-based” not “plant-exclusive”. Unless, of course, you’re already a vegetarian or vegan…then that’s great!

However, most of the world isn’t even close to plant-based eating. Instead, we’re cramming our plates with food that’s made in a manufacturing plant or we’re “raising” animals to be slaughtered for our food consumption when really a healthy, big plant-based meal would offer all the nutrients you need.

So, why do I sit on the fence between the green fields of plant-based and plant-exclusive? Simply put, because I know that there are so many awesome websites out there that are all plant-based.

I want to reach the rest of you. Why?

Because I’m on a mission to plant seeds of healthy living. You see, my dad died of prostate cancer (you can read the full story here) and it turned my life upside down. I knew in my gut (pun intended) that had he had a better diet and more exercise, he would’ve lived longer.

Thus, this site was born.

But, I also knew that I wouldn’t have been able to completely change my dad’s diet. However, a bit more balance in his diet, more exercise, and less stress, could have prolonged his life and maybe even completely warded off cancer.

So, this site is speaking to those of you who know you need a change but maybe aren’t completely ready to give up all the things you think right now that you can’t live without.

Change comes slowly but when consistently reinforced it sticks.

You owe it to yourself to try something new. I know my dad would agree… if only he were alive to do so.

Here’s to taking the first step and Creating A Better You, Better World.
